The United States has already approved a potential Foreign Military Sale involving F-16s, a deal estimated at over $5.5 billion. While a formal offer has not yet been delivered to Manila, the approval itself signals a major step in strengthening U.S.–Philippine defense ties and preparing for future high-end air combat capability.
