Interested in learning more about the 3.6 and what makes it work well and prevent breakdowns in this video I go over the 3.6 VVT engine in many GM vehicles. In all sorts of makes and models.

First used in a Cadillac in 2004 the GM 3.6 was first introduced to be a replacement engine for the mighty 3.8 or as some call a 3800.

This was right around the time GM first introduced VVT to their main lineups in 2008 chevy,buick,GMC,all started using the more powerful fuel efficient 3.6.

But with more complexity comes more maintenance not so with this V6. This isn't a typical pushrod style motor before like the 3.8 no the VVT system is completely run by this chain oil pressure being key, so good oil change habits are necessary.
