In Karnataka, a debate has erupted over revised school timings for Ramzan. Urdu schools will function from 8 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. for one month, while students and staff in other schools can leave 30 minutes earlier. Academic hours will be adjusted through holidays or other available periods.

The move has drawn political attention: Home Minister G Parameshwara defended it as promoting inclusivity, while Minister Santosh Lad accused BJP of selectively targeting minority issues instead of focusing on national and economic priorities.
