Emre Dayıoğlu is a musician, a music teacher in the city of Kaş and probably one of the most important regional folk music documentarists in Turkey today. He travels, records, films and learns from the older generations in the villages. He specialises in the three stringed Cura (a small Baglama) played by half-nomadic shepherds with Turkmen roots living around the Taurus mountains in South Western Turkey.
