📽️ This is gear that makes my work life easier. The DJI SRD Transmitter is a great transmitter for the price, but it can do so much more than that. This versatile system has changed the way we handle wireless communication in professional filming environments. It’s packed with features that make it indispensable for cinematographers, directors, DIT teams and how we live stream.

First off, the system supports seamless auto-frequency hopping across the 2.4 GHz, 5.8 GHz, and DFS frequency bands. What does that mean for you? Well, it means you don’t have to worry about interference or obstacles. The system automatically switches to the clearest channel available, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted connection. This is especially useful when you’re working in complex environments where maintaining a stable signal is crucial.

This system can to connect to an unlimited number of receivers. Whether you’re in SDR Control mode or Wi-Fi mode, you can have as many receivers as you need. In manual mode, you can manually switch channels and monitor the quality, which gives you more control. But if you’re in Broadcast mode, each transmitter can connect to an unlimited number of receivers, catering to the diverse needs of different professional roles. Imagine the flexibility this provides on set!

Metadata transmission is another powerful feature. The system supports metadata transmission from mainstream cinema cameras like ARRI and RED via the SDI input.

The system supports PTP control over cameras, allowing you to adjust parameters like the diaphragm, shutter, and ISO, as well as handle photo-taking and video-recording functions through the app.

The USB-C port is another feature worth mentioning. It supports multiple monitoring methods and can output SDR and two Wi-Fi signals simultaneously. The transmitter can also connect directly to monitors via SDI/HDMI, and it can connect to smartphones or tablets via USB-C for smooth and stable monitoring, even if Wi-Fi is disabled. This flexibility ensures that you can always find a monitoring setup that works for you, no matter the circumstances.

Switching between different camera sources is easy thanks to the system’s compatibility with the DJI Ronin app in Broadcast mode. You can seamlessly switch between camera sources and monitor different cameras from a single interface. This is particularly useful when you have multiple cameras rolling and need to keep an eye on all of them.

The app offers local recording and playback. You can review the recorded content directly on the playback page and take advantage of various assistance tools like LUTs, peaking, waveform, and false color to ensure your footage looks just right. These tools deliver a professional monitoring experience that can help you make critical decisions on set.

Power the transmitter directly via USB-C, which offers fast charging, use a standard USB power supply, or rely on a V-mount battery with the built-in port on the back. There’s also a gimbal adapter mount, which allows the transmitter to be powered directly by the gimbal, eliminating the need for a separate battery. This is particularly handy when using the transmitter with devices like the DJI RS 4D, RS 4, and RS 3 Pro.
that can meet the demands of any production environment.
