This video shows off that you can now use the OS Menu on consoles natively and you can now join your friends directly from the menu. You can also control the menu with just your keyboard now as well.
You can open the menu by pressing the View/Select button or Touchbar on your controller, pressing ESC or tapping the OS icon at the top middle of the screen.
