Israel's military says it has killed several top Hezbollah commanders in a strike on Lebanon's capital Beirut.

The IDF says it's killed around 11 senior figures – including Hezbollah commander Ibrahim Aquil.

Mr Aquil had been on the US wanted list for decades following his alleged involvement in the deaths of 63 people at the US embassy in Beirut in 1983.

Lebanon has retaliated by launching more than 140 rockets into northern Israel.
