The Japanese town of Osaki, with a population of 13,000 people, has been recycling for more than 20 years. In 2019, it achieved an 82.6% recycling rate. And for the past 13 years, it has been in the top level in the Ministry of Environment’s recycling survey.

Kasumi Fujita, a former intern at the UN Information Centre in Tokyo, shares what motivates her and the people of Osaki to take action for the environment and our climate.
