Today we introduce to you our violinist DIANA (Diana Boncheva - electric, acoustic violins).
This is Diana Boncheva's debut solo album Beethoven Virus. Released in 2006, Beethoven Virus becomes a global hit reaching nearly 30 million views on a single YouTube upload, with countless more across the internet. Its infectious melodies, based on Beethoven's 8th piano sonata Pathetique, 3rd movement, captivated audiences worldwide, inspiring thousands of artists across various musical genres.
Originally composed by Oh Sang Joon (Banya) for the dance platform "Pump It Up" around 2000, the first short version of "Beethoven Virus" (1:58) gained popularity for its catchy tunes and challenging tempo. This short version is only computer-made and never had an original player.
Subsequently, a South Korean management company worked together with composer Oh Sang Joon and violinist Diana and they developed the full version of Beethoven Virus as it is today exclusively for Diana's album. Oh Sang Joon composed most of the tracks for that album and produced it as well.
Despite the initial success, Diana's journey took a turn when she parted ways with the management company due to mistreatment, non-payment, and excessive workload. In her pursuit of freedom, she relinquished all rights to the album.
For nearly two decades, Diana struggled to find inspiration, disillusioned by past experiences. However, fate intervened when she crossed paths with guitarist Song, igniting a new chapter in her musical journey.

And so, the story unfolds...
