Speaker Biography: Economist Alan Greenspan was chairman of the Federal Reserve from 1987 until 2006 -- the second longest term of anyone in the job. He currently works as a consultant through his company, Greenspan Associates. Greenspan's tenure as head of the Fed was marked by historically low interest rates and opposition to financial regulation. Greenspan's latest book is The Map and the Territory: Risk, Human Nature and the Future of Forecasting (Penguin).
