I Can't Believe Total War Used to be Like This - OG Rome Total War Review in 2022

It has been a long - but incredible quick - 18 years since Rome: Total War saw the light of day, and I thought it was time for a full review of this legendary game. Rome: Total War might not be as evergreen as certain other Total War games, but back in the day, this was everything, a massive new grand strategy game in a gorgeous and fully modelled 3D world, taking the Total War series to heights previously unseen.

So, should you play the ORIGINAL Rome: Total War in 2022?

Rome: Total War opened my eyes to what a strategy game could be, and for that, I'll always be grateful. Hopefully, another Total War will come along to take its place as the best Roman era game - not just for its time, but ever.
