Many will remember Jim as the proud owner of the “World’s Fastest ’57”, piloted by Rob Vandergriff. That car, through three remarkable revisions, became a benchmark for innovation and speed. But Jim wasn’t finished — he had one more vision: to create a roadster version that would perfectly blend elegance, performance, and his lifelong passion for Hot Rod culture.

Sadly, Jim’s health declined before he could see that dream through. Yet, through the unwavering dedication of his wife, Rob Vandergriff, and a team of skilled hands who believed in his vision, that dream has now come to life — exactly as he designed it. Every curve, every finish, every polished surface pays homage to the detail in his original renderings.

Before it hit the road to Cruisin’ the Coast, this masterpiece made a stop with us at Detailed Automotive, where we were deeply honored to apply the final polish, detail, and our Borograph 3.0 Ceramic Coating.
