Baldwin Locomotive Works #26 - Lone Switcher in Scranton

Описание к видео Baldwin Locomotive Works #26 - Lone Switcher in Scranton

Steamtown National Historic Site, despite its shortcomings, still has some steam left. In fact, the only operational locomotive at the site is the former Baldwin Locomotive Works 0-6-0 switcher #26. Originally constructed as a plant switcher for Baldwin, #26 was owned privately by numerous owners before falling into the hands of Steamtown. Since 2015, #26 has been operated throughout the Steamtown campus and sometimes as far as Carbondale. During our visit on June 23rd, 2024, #26 was operating the Scranton Limited, with 4 trips departing from Steamtown and running to the Nay Aug Gorge and back. We enjoyed our brief visit at Steamtown and wish the best to the operating crews and the rest of the site. We hope you enjoy our production of Baldwin #26 operating to Nay Aug.

Special thanks to ‪@TrainChamber‬ for tagging along with me for this one.
