Instructions on days 1-10 for the purification program. Dr kulla is a clinical nutritionist.
[Instructor] Guidelines for days one through 10. You can eat as many fruits and vegetables as you'd like, but what's very important is that you eat twice as many vegetables as you do fruit. If your goal is weight loss, you might even cut the fruit back a little more. On those vegetables, 50% should be raw. The other half can be steamed, lightly steamed, three or four minutes till they're still crisp, or even stir-fried with butter. Try and choose organic vegetables. They have a higher nutrient density and will amplify the program significantly. Butter's not only fine to use, but highly suggested. Try to get unsalted and organic butter, but please, no processed oils like vegetable oil. No margarine, no corn oil, no safflower, no canola. But any oil that is unprocessed from whole foods is fine. Just be careful, no hydrogenated oils. Here are your approved beverages. You can drink all the green tea you'd like. Now, there's no coffee, no alcohol, no tobacco, obviously, in the program. If you are a coffee drinker, you know you're going to get a headache, you can brew a little coffee, take a few sips only until that headache goes away, and then just switch over to green tea. No milk or dairy added, by the way. Now, very important is there's no cola. No soda pop in this program. You can use mineral water and juice, half and half, if you'd like, but no cola. Salad dressing is allowed, however, I strongly suggest that you make your own. It's easy and fast, here are three examples: basic vinaigrette, Dijon olive oil dressing, and a tahini dressing. You can also just use olive oil and apple cider vinegar. The key is no sugar, no high fructose corn syrup, no hydrogenated fats, remember, no soy, no dairy, no wheat, no corn, egg, et cetera. If you have rheumatoid arthritis, you might try eliminating at least the main four nightshade vegetables, and those are tomatoes, potatoes, which you're not having anyway, eggplant, and then peppers. At the end of the program, you can try adding in one per week, and see how you do on it, but for right now, eliminate those. White potatoes and corn are not allowed in the program. Not that they're not healthy, but they are problematic for some people, so we'll avoid those for now. However, sweet potatoes are very healthy and are allowed. If you're trying to lose weight, keep your sweet potato consumption to about one per day. Feel free to put butter on it and cinnamon, and enjoy it. A special note to you: please do not cheat yourself out of the highest possible chance for an amazing outcome by eating some non-approved foods. Here's the point: as your body starts to clear away food allergies, what we call food antigens, or protein antigens, from your blood stream, as well as toxins that have been in storage, it now has the opportunity to seek out current, even chronic, health issues and try to resolve them. So if you return to those foods that are inflammatory for you, your body now has to go back to the old days and function at the sub-optimal level, so please don't do that.
