This is the fifth video of our “Clean Energy Series”, introducing the TrAM and Connect-E projects.

Meet Medstraum, the first fully electrified high-speed ferry that ships passengers from A to B in the Norwegian city Starvanger. Compared to a fossil-fuelled vessel, Medstraum not only saves 1,500 tons of carbon emissions but also spares its passengers from noisy engine sounds.

Less noise is also guaranteed by Connect-E, as it aims to vastly expand the network of electric charging stations across 11 EU countries. Besides anticipating the increase of electric road transport, Connect-E provides easy-to-use stations for everyone.

Connect-E and TrAM are enabling a greener transport sector in the EU with funding from Horizon 2020 Transport and the Connecting Europe Facility for Transport.
