As you ladies know, the Lord told me to pause the Godly Chik ministry 🌸 for a season and spend time away with Him. At first, I felt sad… even a little lost. But after a whole day of being sad 😔 I began to ask myself: Why is this ministry pause shaking me so deeply?

And that’s when it hit me… a lot of my identity was in my ministry. And that revelation stopped me in my tracks. Because the truth is, it’s easy to confuse purpose with identity. And sometimes we get so wrapped up in what we do for God, that we forget who we are in Him.

Ministry is a gift. Calling is beautiful. But they are not you. Your identity is NOT in your title, your platform, your following, or your productivity. Your identity is not even in how “well” you serve God — it’s rooted in one truth: you are His daughter/son. And you are Chosen. Loved. Seen. And Secure. PERIOD.

So, this is your gentle reminder to do an identity 🪞 check today.

If the job ended, would you still know who you are?
If the platform paused, would you still feel valuable?
If God asked you to be still for months or even a year, would you be okay with not being used?

My prayer 🙏🏽 today is that you allow the Lord to reintroduce you to the you that exists OUTSIDE of the stage, the mic, or the calling. The “you” He formed before you ever did one thing “useful.” Because the goal isn’t just to be effective for God, the goal is to be in love with God and secure in your sonship/daughterhood.
