Hello, dearest Debbie! How do you advise handling a request to carry out UXR that violates best practices? Of course I intend to try to gently steer the team to the "right" path, but in case that's unsuccessful, are the only options to walk away (resign) or go along and therefore actively commit Bad UX? (I'll ask about how to expunge the stain and guilt of knowingly perpetrating Bad UX from my conscience on a future AMA.)

but as a follow-up, how would you deal with being pushed to do things that are actually bad? By bad, I mean using psychology against the users (to make them more addicted/make them waste more money) or doing deceptive patterns

Btw, as a senior in this field, do you have any opinion on User Interviews being bought by UserTesting?

i just got an ad and you may have covered this, but i read an article about "audio" being the next big thing and this being "the end of displays" (lol). openAI is trying to create an audio-only device (to complete with Alexa?)

Sorry if you alredy mention it, i will look into yourbook as well, but i am curious when you say out of tech, do you mean different kind of office job? Or completely differet sectors like manual work? I joke sonetime wirh my bf that we should be learning plumming or shoe making other manual jobs. But somehow it also feels sockosed to people who have studied and work in office jobs. Like entering this pther type of stuff (while still working your office job while you can)
