How Recycling Old Story Ideas Helped Me (And How It Can Work For You)

When I was a kid, I had two stories that I greatly enjoyed developing and were, at the time, very special to me. Unfortunately, they were never finished to completion (sad times), but I always wondered how I could rework them as the years passed. One of my college teachers said to let your old story ideas go (and I can kinda see why), but you still shouldn't yeet your old ideas into the Abyss never to be seen again...
