On a cold October weekend, I made my way up to Indiana for the first time to see Nickel Plate Road 2-8-4 765 in action as it pulls the Indiana Fall Colors excursion from Pleasant Lake, IN to Hillsdale, MI and return. This excursion was sponsored by the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society (FWRHS) as part of their Indiana Rail Experience on the Indiana Northeastern Railroad.
