5 Artists Who Will Inspire You: A Crash Course in Art History

Let's talk about collage art history! These are some of my favourite collage / mixed media artists that you need to know. I know I have helped inspire some amazing collages with my monthly art prompt list, now I am hoping to inspire you through taking a look at other collage artists styles.

It was incredible to see how different artists used paper at the show, with some working in 3D pieces and others in flat ones, using different tones, and magazines. I chose these artists to cover because of their use of papers, their scale, their careers, and the intricate use of their own images. I think it's interesting that even though there's so much history of art, collage is still a relatively new medium, and it was great to see how different artists use it in their work. Let's explore the work of Mark Bradford, Robert Rauschenberg, Martha Rosler, Lance Letscher, and David Hockney.

In this video I hope to inspire you to search for inspiration in other collage artists and their work. Here are a couple of my favourite artists along with a book recommendation.
