Led Zeppelin - Your Time Is Gonna Come Drum Cover

Here's an extra drum cover for you all--Led Zeppelin's Your Time Is Gonna Come.

From the debut album, aka Led Zeppelin I, Your Time Is Gonna Come is a track whose beginning reminds me of when entering a church before the ceremony or mass starts, you know? Kind of like a Prelude to which from there it settles into a formidable melody one can hang their hat on, so to speak, and know when the song will properly begin. And boy, does John Bonham enter with a force--big cymbal crash! What a groove he does throughout the song too. But that is expected as I have always envied his pocket, feel and groove.

Straight-forward drumming but with a lot fills which I love. Particularly those big triplet based fills. Here I play, or try to, note-for-note what Bonzo does. Of course, since this song quick cuts into Black Mountain Side do I do a cymbal choke right at the end. So that's my only ad-lib on my part, lol.

Again, doing research on this song, although there isn't much written about it, I did find out that the album it is from just celebrated its 52nd anniversary this year (2021), on January 12th (its release date). Also, since Jimmy Page's birthday (his 77th) was on the 9th of January, well this seems apropos to do some Zeppelin in January!

Well, I hope you dig this one. Like a lot of Zep tunes, this was a blast to play and gave me a chance to be John Bonham for a good 4 minutes or so.
