Thousand Oaks High School Varsity Baseball - 2020 Easton Tournament Championship

Thousand Oaks Lancers defeated Hart Indians in the 2020 Easton Southern California Showdown Tournament by a score of 9-2. Scott Ellis threw a complete game for the win, with eight strikeouts.

Thousand Oaks scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning. Roc Riggio laid down a bunt single and advanced to second on a throwing error. Jacob Wilson moved Roc to third with a deep fly out to centerfield. Charlie Saum doubled off the left centerfield wall to score Roc. Michael Welikala hit a RBI single to score Charlie.

The Lancers scored a run in the bottom of the second inning, as Jared Miller singled to left field, and Max Muncy drove a RBI double to right field, scoring Jared from first.

Thousand Oaks added another run in the bottom of the third inning, as Justin Abercrombie singled to centerfield, and Chase Melnick scored Justin on a RBI bunt single.

The Lancers broke the game open with five more runs, batting the entire lineup in the bottom of the fifth inning. Justin Abercrombie singled to right field, scoring Michael Welikala. Chase Melnick tripled to the right field corner, driving in Justin. On the first pitch, Jared Miller singled into right field to score Chase. Max Muncy hit a RBI single to right field, scoring Jared. Roc Riggio singled, moving Max to third. Jacob Wilson hit a sacrifice fly to deep center field, scoring Max.
