This is Practice - time to revise Lesson 1! Today you will learn how to pronounce and write international words in Russian. You will need a pen and a piece of paper! Also, for effective practice, repeat the words out loud after me.

1) the words you'll learn - office, telephone, coffee, document, restaurant, computer, bank, passport, supermarket :
офис
телефон
кофе
ресторан
компьютер
банк
паспорт
супермаркет

2) Important pronunciation rule: O is not always read like O! When "O" is stressed, we pronounce [О]; when O is NOT stressed, we pronounce [A]. So the word stress (ударение) is very important for correct pronunciation in Russian!

3) Homework: listen to the 5 words I say and write them down in Russian. (All the words are international, I am sure you can understand the meaning!) Write them down in a comment below - we will check it at next Practice session!
