This month we explore the crazy world of The Firehouse Five plus Two. The members worked for Disney studios as film animators, Ward Kimball, trombone and leader, created the Seven Dwarves, Jiminy Cricket, the Mad Hatter and many other Disney characters. (the voice of Jiminy Cricket was a famous Jazz musician - Cliff Edwards). Walt Disney, in his autobiography, referred to Ward Kimball as a genius. (Ward had a full size steam locomotive in his yard, plus numerous historic fire engines!).
