I got tagged in these videos of the @onesize On ‘Til Dawn Mattifying Waterproof Setting Spray malfunctioning and dispensing excessive amounts of powder. From a beauty product development perspective, I have some speculations that connect to how aerosols are filled. Basically, I want to invite you to imagine baking a cake and keeping all your wet ingredients on the bottom and loading the flour (aka powder) on top and forgetting to mix it all together before putting in the oven. This is just my own theory, but I think the manufacturer may have forgotten to mix the ingredients together in isolated batches in a way that leaves all the powders on top. No amount of shaking these aerosols would fix this issue. Hence the videos you are seeing with creators looking like they have been in a fight with a bag of flour. On the botorm of beauty packaging there is handy batch code that lives on products that can help the folks identify if this was an isolated incident or if there might have been multiple batches effected. Either way, it looks like this experience is thankfully not happening to too many folks! And according to the comments, also looks like @Patrick Starrr and the folks over at One Size are taking care of this quickly and working hard to get to the bottom of what happened! Regardless, this is a unique aerosol & powerful setting spray that really does have makeup lasting a WHILE. So I’m sure the team will replace if this experience happens to you, as it’s definitely not working as it was inteded or designed!
