The new ResQFlare is an electronic visual distress device or eVDSD designed as an alternative to Pyrotechnic Flares for boats. Fulfills the mandate of all Coast Guard Compliant Visual Distress Signal (VDS) requirements (46 CFR 175.130) for recreational marine vessels 16 feet and over when combined with the included Distress Flag.

Powered by user replaceable C Batteries an a high-performance LED flash pattern using the SOS signal, the ResQFlare is safe for families with children and is extremely easy to use. The new design is buoyant, and floats so that the omnidirectional light alerts USCG rescue craft and a vertical beam visible to coast guard aircraft flying overhead.
