বন্ধুরা চলে এলাম আপনাদের নতুন কিছু তথ্য দিতে, সপ্তর্ষিমন্ডল /ˈɜːrsə ˈmeɪdʒər/ ইংরেজি Ursa Major বা Great Bear। দ্বিতীয় শতকের জ্যোতির্বিদ টলেমি কর্তৃক প্রণীত ৪৮টি তারামণ্ডলের একটি। আধুনিক কালে বর্ণিত ৮৮টি তারামণ্ডলের তালিকায়ও এটি তৃতীয় বৃৃহত্তম । এটিি সাতটি তারার সমন্বয়ে গঠিত নক্ষত্রমণ্ডল। উত্তরগোলার্ধ থেকে সারা বছরই এই তারামণ্ডলকে দেখা যায়। উপমহাদেশের জ্যোতির্বিদগণ সাত জন ঋষির নামে এই সাতটি তারার নামকরণ করেন তাই এই নক্ষত্রমণ্ডলটি সপ্তর্ষিমন্ডল নামে পরিচিত হয়।
