It was almost 4 years ago, when Sajjad Ali Sahab released his eternal song, ‘Ravi’.

Walking on the streets of a foreign land, miles away from his home, Sajjad Ali Sahab sang about the river Ravi, a metaphor for home. He dedicated the song to ‘pardesis’ - those who have built homes...away from their homelands.

The Ravi River is a transboundary river crossing northwestern India and eastern Pakistan. It is one of five rivers associated with the Punjab region.

The melody and the beautiful composition, carry the nostalgia, love, and longing for home and shared experiences, values, and traditions that tie everyone together.
