Join me and my loyal dog Frodo, along with my small travel companion Poefi, on a two-day solo backpacking journey from my home in Belgium to the starting point of the famous Pieterpad in the Netherlands. Over the first day, we trek 24 kilometers, followed by another 14 kilometers on day two, with a magical overnight stay at the Grootbos bivouac site in Gnoelselderen. This unique camping spot lets you immerse yourself in nature for free—just reserve your spot in advance!

During the hike, I share my plans for 2025: walking the entire Pieterpad in 2-3 day stages. The Pieterpad, known as the Netherlands' most iconic long-distance hiking trail, stretches from the Wadden Sea in Pieterburen to the Sint-Pietersberg in Limburg, taking hikers through breathtaking landscapes and cultural treasures.

Experience the beauty of hiking solo in winter temperatures, the joy of exploring nature with Frodo, and the excitement of planning future adventures.
