Broadcast Graphics Kinetic Type | After Effects Tutorial

Описание к видео Broadcast Graphics Kinetic Type | After Effects Tutorial

In this video I show you how to create channel branding motion design stings, using mainly text animators.

This was inspired by the current ITV branding created by DixonBaxie. You can view their work and process here: https://www.dixonbaxi.com/work/itv-brand

I also recreate an animation by Mauricio Ceballos. You can view his work here: https://www.maumotiondesign.com/

Lastly thanks to Kyle Hamrick, who “stress-tested” a mini tutorial for the process I outlined for the “Stretchy 4s”, chaptered below at about 22 ½ mins. He made some suggestions which I workshopped briefly and expanded upon. Still didn’t end up perfectly procedural, but there might be some insight in the comments below, you never know.

I created the stings, or more accurately RE-created them, mainly to demonstrate the versatility of text animators to my students. As always though when you’re exploring things in After Effects, you get unexpected results. As I say in the video, playing and experimenting is a good thing.

As is leaning into mistakes. Hence including a couple of mistakes in the tutorial itself. I’ve labelled those chapters “oops” below. But they inadvertently show how quick it is to amend things with text animators, so kind of a serendipitous result there.
