Extreme Paintbrawl for PC computers "Longplay". No voice commentary, presented in 4K for better bitrate.
Distinguished as "the first non-violent 3D shooter", which is a blatant lie, Extreme Paintbrawl aims to be the most realistic simulation of the raising phenomena which was paintball back in the late 90s... With the Build engine, so you can already imagine how realistic can it be. But they tried, balls have distace drop, 1 shot kills, actual fatigue system and competent maps which weren't built by newbies by the looks of it.
But, this is the most yank thing ever, this game has its config menu and interface as a Windows app which runs the actual DOS game whenever you want to play a match, which has to be the most janky thing ever, and it cause me a bunch of headaches to get it running on the virtual machine. There are ONLY 5 MAPS and the only objective is to capture the enemy flag, which can be done in less than two minutes if you ignore the enemies. Speaking of which, there's absolutely no AI in place, or so it seems, they just move slowly and constantly fire in your direction, whether you are in line of sight or not, so you know where they are before engaging them. The only way to lose is to get all your team members eliminated because I really doubt they can ever reach your flag.
I can get why many people think this is the worst thing ever, this was shovelware looking for unaware dads to trick them into buying this for their kids, and yes, it is BAD... But I had worse, being on the Build engine, despite its flaws, the game is functional, unlike Nerves of Steel or Angst. Solid shit, but not "worst ever".

Distinguido como “el primer shooter 3D no violento”, lo cual es una mentira descarada, Extreme Paintbrawl intenta ser la simulación más realista del fenómeno en auge que era el paintball a finales de los 90... usando el motor Build, así que ya te puedes imaginar qué tan realista puede ser. Pero lo intentaron: las bolas tienen caída con la distancia, hay muertes de un solo disparo, un sistema de fatiga real y mapas competentes que, por lo que parece, no fueron hechos por novatos.
Eso sí, este es el juego más tosco de la historia: su menú de configuración y su interfaz son una app de Windows que lanza el juego de DOS cada vez que quieres jugar una partida, lo cual es lo más cutre del mundo y me dio varios dolores de cabeza para hacerlo funcionar en la máquina virtual. Sólo hay 5 MAPAS y el único objetivo es capturar la bandera enemiga, lo que puedes hacer en menos de dos minutos si ignoras a los enemigos. Y hablando de ellos, parece que no hay absolutamente ninguna IA: simplemente se mueven lento y disparan constantemente en tu dirección, estés o no en su línea de visión, así que siempre sabes dónde están antes de enfrentarlos. La única forma de perder es que eliminen a todos los miembros de tu equipo, porque dudo mucho que lleguen a tu bandera.
Entiendo por qué mucha gente piensa que esto es lo peor de lo peor: era puro “shovelware” para engañar a padres despistados y hacer que lo compraran para sus hijos. Y sí, es MALO... pero he visto peores. Al estar hecho en el motor Build, y a pesar de todos sus defectos, el juego es funcional, a diferencia de Nerves of Steel o Angst. Es una mierda contundente, pero no “el peor de la historia”.
