Monster Hunter: World - Hunting "Nergigante, The Eater of Elders"

Описание к видео Monster Hunter: World - Hunting "Nergigante, The Eater of Elders"

"Nergigante" is an Elder Dragon first introduced in Monster Hunter: World. This dragon has a bristly appearance, covered in spikes that constantly regrow as they're broken off. It features two massive horns similar to a bull, and its hide is primarily black with purple and orange accents.

The creature is constantly regenerating its skin as it attacks and is struck by hunters. It will slowly grow white spikes on certain body parts, which harden over time. Hunters must try to break these white spikes before they harden; once hardened, its attacks deal more damage. The spikes are white when they regrow but turn black if left alone. These spikes can also be launched from its body during certain attacks, giving them more range and making them more dangerous. Additionally, hardened spikes require higher sharpness on melee weapons than normal to prevent bouncing off. When all possible body parts have hardened spikes, Nergigante will perform a special attack, hovering briefly before crashing down and breaking the spikes.

The dragon has advanced forelimbs that allow it to swipe at hunters in an almost human-like way. Its horns, front limbs, wings, and tail can be broken, but only breaking the horns grants part break rewards. Breaking spikes will make it easier to break parts. With extreme strength and speed, this monster overwhelms foes using a relentless barrage of physical attacks, including bites, claw and tail slams, headbutts, full-body rams, and dive-bombs. It boasts extraordinary regenerative abilities that allow it to shrug off damage and recover from wounds almost instantly.

The body constantly grows a coat of spikes that start off white and soft but gradually harden and darken. If these spikes are broken while soft, the dragon can suffer heavy damage, but if they grow, its physical attacks gain significant power, with many attacks breaking spikes and shooting out additional shrapnel. This Elder Dragon is extremely aggressive and will continue to fight even if it harms itself, becoming more ferocious when injured. It attacks anything without hesitation, particularly hunting other Elder Dragons to gain energy, theorized to be a natural balance.

Unlike most Elder Dragons, it does not have elemental abilities, relying instead on sheer aggression and brute force. It is highly susceptible to all status ailments and can become fatigued during battle. This formidable creature can be found in the Great Ravine, Everstream, Elder's Recess, and Wildspire Waste.
