Beautiful Sri Lanka: Flying over Hill Country to Colombo

Sri Lanka, one of the most beautiful countries in the world, undoubtedly deserves to be at the top of the list. It has a peculiar climate due to its location near the equator, with temperature, rainfall, and sunlight uniformly distributed across the entire country. I recently had the great opportunity to fly above a significant portion of beautiful country, specifically from the central hills to Colombo, while crossing the magnificent Mahaweli River. As the tiny flyover flew above the mountains, it became clear that no scientific study is required to appreciate the country's abundant flora and natural resources. The quantity of water, magnificent sunshine, and ideal temperature combine to produce an unrivalled environment for any nation seeking economic development and sustainability.
