In this video I show the whole process of changing the headgasket and timing belts, share some mistakes I have made, and some suggestions how I could have made it better.
The repair is being done on my 1997 Audi A6 C4, which has been pretty much a maintenance free car for my 2 years of ownership. Also its 2.5 liter AEL engine seems to go on forever. Recently tho when playing around with boost pressures it developed a coolant leak.
The repairs were done in preparation for a long abroad trip, which the car did very well in. Running at high load for continuous hours, not a single drop of coolant was lost, so I consider the repair successful.
