Alan Murray and wife Janette have arrived home in Warrandyte after running more than 15,000 kilometres around Australia for an entire year.

They are the first couple to run 366 marathons in as many days around Australia, eating only raw fruits and vegetables along the way.

Alan and Janette, both aged in their sixties, completed their final record-breaking run when they arrived in Warrandyte on New Year's Day.
