In this video, I walk through the quaint, historic downtowns of Murphys and Angels Camp, California. These towns were founded in the Gold Rush era, and preserved as remnants of those gold panning and gold mining days. Mark Twain's memory is also preserved here; it was here that he was inspired to write a famous short story about a jumping frog. Frogs are a central theme in Angels Camp; they still have a jumping frog contest annually!
This video was taken shortly after Christmas, 2022.
