Subang Parade Mall opened in 1988, was once labelled the longest mall in South East Asia. While it is still doing good with its 75% occupancy rate, but it has seen better days, especially during its heydays during the late 80s towards 90s when it was THE mall to hangout in. It has witnessed the development of Subang Jaya from a suburban area into a sprawling metropolitan. But can it survive the modern era with newer, grander malls all sprouting out within its vicinity? Subang Parade Mall still houses a Village Grocer, GSC Cinema and many F&B outlets. But will its competitive edge slowly fizzle out or will it take on a new look to fend off the current competitions?
