Rap, Kilos & Controversy: The Husalah Story

Описание к видео Rap, Kilos & Controversy: The Husalah Story

Husalah is one of the founding members of the Mob Figaz — a Bay Area rap group that was signed by West Coast rap icon C-Bo in the late 90s. The group sold more than 200,000 copies independently of their debut album "C-Bo's Mob Figaz.' Although Hus and his homies were enjoying rap success, he still had a foot in the street. While out in Illinois on a drug run, he was caught trafficking 14 kilos of cocaine and indicted by the Feds. After pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute more than five kilos of coke, he received five years in federal prison. Before and following his release, rumors spread and people questioned how he received a relatively light sentence for a large amount of birds. In this mini-documentary, we touch on the Mob Figaz, Husalah's fed case, the controversy surrounding his name, The Jacka's passing and more.
