This is the official Diecast Emporium review of the 1:50 Scale Ertl Prestige Collection John Deere 870 P-Tier Excavator. The model features some pleasantly good decals, several opening hatches and panels, and improved functionality when compared to other recent ERTL Deere construction excavator models. The boom and stick functionality still leave a lot to be desired, but a skilled and experienced collector can rectify this problem; although this really should have been corrected during the tooling stage. Overall, the model is still a good addition for collectors who enjoy collecting large excavator models.
