Shenmue: The Virtua Fighter RPG

With Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown being offered as a free download on Microsoft's games with gold, and the announcement of Shenmue 1 and 2 HD's release date for August 21st 2018, I have had both of these franchises on the brain lately. Lots of people ask me for my opinion on Virtua Fighter 6, and my answer is usually that if Shenmue can make a comeback then so can Virtua Fighter. However, many Virtua Fighter fans that I have interacted with are fairly unacquainted with the Shenmue series. Due to this fact, I wanted to tackle the topic of Shenmue's origin as a Virtua Fighter RPG.
