Porsche Panamera e-hybrid - Full Review

Hey Guys, I now present our new car, the Porsche Panamera e-hybrid, for a full review. We are still learning about the car and how best to maximise the electric range combined with a minimum use of unleaded fuel, not quite as easy as I first thought!

As you know probs, one exciting attribute of this car is e-mode. We are running currently for around 25 miles on e-mode alone, this will get closer to the 31 official range as the car is run in, or so I am told, and this then should be ample for my use as long as I has access to an electric charger in town. Or so I thought. Next on my list to investigate is what card I should use to pay for the electric charging in town. Still not sure how all this works yet

Charging of the battery on the move is no longer an option, doing this drops the overall fuel consumption from say 40 to around 16. Blimely!! However with the electric motor fully charged before I leave I am hoping to average 45- 50mpg when in town and this would be a huge result for me especially when combined with the fact that no emissions emanate from the vehicle when travelling through built up areas, NONE!

The e-hybrid has 462Hp available and this endows the car with masses of instant acceleration due to the fact the electric motor spools up instantly to supplement the twin turbos of the 2.9 litre 6 Cylinder combustion engine. However it is the torque available that you notice in everyday driving the most, this car has 700Nm of torque, (516lb ft), compare this to the Panamera 4S which is 9000 pounds more expensive and has 550Nm, (405 lb-ft), of Torque.

The Panamera e-hybrid will accelerate to 62mph in 4.6secs and onto 100 in 10.7secs. Top Speed is 172mph.

Overall the Panamera E-Hybrid offers responsive controls, loads of grip from the four-wheel drive system and enough agility in corners to be able to take advantage of all that power. The interior is quite opulent and comfortable enough to encourage you to take it easy and watch the miles slip smoothly by if you so wish. The technology available is state of the art and the interior I think is the best available of any car on sale and on par with the latest Bentleys.
