The Problem with Kenya Barris | Brownsugar Commentary

Kenya Barris is a well known writer, director, and producer who is best known for his creation of the "-ish" universe (Black-ish, grown-ish, mixed-ish). While there are many Black folks who enjoy his content, there are plenty of us (myself included) who have pretty mixed feelings about it, mainly because a lot of his shows exclude darker skin Black women.

In this video I talk about each of Kenya's shows and my issues with them as well as my overall issues with him as a creator.
