Today, we're going to visit a unique and juicy festival held annually in Arsenjan which is 70 kilometers from the city of Shiraz. This pomegranate festival is celebrated annually in Autumn to promote the great potential of this southern town in pomegranate production and introduce different products made from pomegranate. To make pomegranate water or paste, first, the villagers go to the gardens to harvest their crops. Then, they remove the seeds from the pomegranate. Next, they crush the seeds traditionally with walking on them. Pomegranate water is then poured into a big pot and they let it boil gently for about an hour until thickens.
