This documentary was created by cancer survivors, advocates, scientists and clinicians who have joined forces to start a new dialogue about cancer and cancer research. As cancer treatments become more personalized, it is more important than ever before that research studies are inclusive and representative. Unfortunately, medical research is rarely discussed. People are unfamiliar with how and where research is done, the safeguards that exist, and its role in modern cancer care. This video presents the experiences of people who have dedicated their efforts to change the status quo, showing the value of research in the lives of patients, families and communities.
