Synopsis:::
Dainee is a social drama that tells the tragic story of Nayantara, who is ill-fated and condemned by fate and wrongly judged by society her whole life. The story is of a village orphan Nayantara who is mistreated at home and is said to be wretched as a curse. She marries her childhood friend against both their families and lives away in the city. When they come back home to the village, there is a famine and all blame her for it. A series of unfortunate events make the villagers call her a witch and she is reported to the police. Her only support then, Bhairav uncle helps her out through her accusations and tries to free her. But in the end, she loses her life in the struggle, her only last wish fulfilled that she gets to see her child Manik. The movie has a very strong social message about superstition that people still follow in the 21st century. It talks about how badly the elderly are treated in our country and the cruel and blind man can be..
