Vans Stab High Non-Chlorine Presented by Monster Energy - Episode 2

Over the course of a 10-day boat trip through the Mentawai Islands—surfing’s original wavepark—Vans Stab High, Non-Chlorine, presented by Monster Energy seeks to shatter all previous aerial benchmarks. Bigger, faster, higher, and more technical is what we're after.

Devoted to above-the-lip surfing, judges Nathan Fletcher and Mikey February signed on to score every air of the trip. Basing their scores on amplitude, style, and progression, from launch to landing, every aspect of the maneuver will be scrutinized on a scale of 1 to 10.

Each surfer’s highest-scoring right and left air will count toward their total score. Whoever finishes the trip with the highest two-wave total will become the Stab High winner and $12,000 richer.

On top of this, every surfer will also have an opportunity to win Vans Stab High’s Monster Air Award presented by Monster Energy. The prize goes to the highest, most generally outrageous air of the trip.

There’s another $3,000 up for grabs in the Vans Ladybirds division, which features four of the most talented and air-minded (but not air-headed) young women in surfing.
