This video shows developers how to properly tune the HSE oscillator clock frequency on their PCB boards, which is critical for RF applications such as Bluetooth LE since the HSE accuracy is essential for RF systems performance. It shows how to tune the HSE using one of several methods described in AN5042, the manual method, by measuring the HSE clock frequency on the MCO pin with a precise frequency counter, then demonstrates a simple technique for verifying that the radio is operating correctly.
