The shack settlement of Grey in Western Australia's mid-west now seems to live under constant threat of removal as the non-transferable 12 month leases on the shacks mean that the whole settlement could vanish in the space of a few months.

How long will this little shack town manage to survive? Some shacks have already been taken over by the government and that is why it makes our 'Abandoned Western Australia' category.
