Ferragudo Portugal - Visit and Street Walk - Sping 2022

In early 2022, we moved from the US to make Portugal our permanent home. We rented in Portimao to have a central point in the Algarve to explore the region in order to select the city that would become our final destination.Across the Arade River from Portimao was a historic small fishing village called Ferragudo which we could see in the distance from our apartment. Ferragudo was a traditional Portuguese fishing village in the Algarve.Over time, it has evolved into a major tourist town known for its beaches, historic buildings, fortifications, and vibrant atmosphere, making it a popular destination. Visitors can enjoy activities such as fishing, boating, while partake in the fare of local restaurants, pubs and shops. The village is also a short distance and ferry ride from nearby attractions like the city of Portimão, the beaches at Praia da Rocha and the Ria de Alvor nature reserve. In April and May 2022, we visited Ferragudo. This video contains clips from several of these visits. It begins as we approach the village from the North and traces our walk through Ferragudo, its town square and surrounding streets, hills and passageways.
