Finally here comes part 2 for the DIY Low Profile Vice built.
This video is not quite how I normally creat my videos so I hope you still like it, it is my first attempt to create a voice over.
You see that the upper vice plate is made from A36 Steel. Machining steel on a CNC Router using a high speed Spindel requires totally different cutting parameters than on a regular mill. I will go into further detail in another video but in essence the online tools for feed and speed will not work nor the recommended values provided by the manufacturer of the end mill.
Also note how large the dents are for the Mitee-Bite, there is also a “Pitbull” clamping insert that you can use in the same channel to reduce the defects in the surface.
Using the leverage of the screw driver I applied about 1000N of vertical force to pry the part out of the vice.
